Expensive 200-year-old book found at Centralia College nearly donated (KELA Radio, Centralia, WA)

(CENTRALIA) –  A rare book that could be worth big bucks was almost donated by Centralia College.  The only reason why it didn’t end up at the University of Washington?  The 90-page book couldn’t fit in a box.  Now, the 90-page manual about fruit is set to be auctioned in New York.  It could fetch anywhere from $70,000 to $120,000, if not more.  The book was donated to the college in 1964.  It sat on a shelf until recently.  The proceeds will benefit a loan program for students who need money for textbooks
