(BUCODA)
– They’re out. Now, they want back in. Bucoda bolted from the Chehalis River
Basin Flood Authority last January. The community just north of Centralia cited
worries over too much emphasis being placed on an earthen dam in the upper
reaches of the Chehalis River. That’s the main reason why the Chehalis Tribe
left the multi-agency organization about a year ago. The chair of the flood control group calls
the move by Bucoda welcome news.
