(CENTRALIA) – Centralia City Light
customers might spend part of the day fiddling with electronics reset
during Sunday’s power outage. Crews were changing over to a new power
substation. The plan included using the city’s dam in Yelm to power
most of Centralia. The lights held out until around 11 a.m. The power
wasn’t restored until late that afternoon. While it was mostly an
inconvenience, City Light officials hope the changeover will greatly
bolster the system’s reliability in the future.
