Eighth Consecutive Years
Franklin PUD received the Certificate
of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (CAFR) for its
comprehensive annual financial report for fiscal year ending December 31, 2011.
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada
issues the CAFR and is considered the highest form of recognition in the area
of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Receiving this Certificate
represents a significant accomplishment by a government entity and its
management. Franklin PUD received the Certificate of Achievement for the
eighth consecutive year.
When
a Certificate of Achievement is awarded to a government entity, an Award of
Financial Reporting Achievement is also presented to the entity’s department
responsible for having earned the certificate. This award goes to the
Department of Administrative Services, Finance Division, at Franklin PUD.
The
CAFR is judged by an impartial panel to meet the highest standards of the
program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full
disclosure”. The Franklin PUD financial report meets the highest standards
of accounting principles.
