Eighth Consecutive Years

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada issues the CAFR and is considered the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Receiving this Certificate represents a significant accomplishment by a government entity and its management.  Franklin PUD received the Certificate of Achievement for the eighth consecutive year.

When a Certificate of Achievement is awarded to a government entity, an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement is also presented to the entity’s department responsible for having earned the certificate.  This award goes to the Department of Administrative Services, Finance Division, at Franklin PUD.

The CAFR is judged by an impartial panel to meet the highest standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure”.  The Franklin PUD financial report meets the highest standards of accounting principles.
