(CHEHALIS, WA) – There will not be a contested race for
Lewis County PUD Commissioner from District 3, which represents the east end
of the county. The Lewis County Auditor’s Office says Lee Grose (gross), who
had filed for the seat currently held by Chuck Tenpass, withdrew his candidacy
on Monday. That leaves Tim Cournyer of Mossyrock as the only candidate for the
position. Tenpass is not running for re-election. Because it is a non-partisan
position, the county elections office says it will not be on the August 2
Primary Election, but will be on the General Election ballot in November.
