(CENTRALIA) -- Centralia City Light is now looking for a new top staffer. Ed Williams retires at the end of this month. Williams has headed up Centralia’s municipal power utility for nearly the past five years. The 65-year-old says it can be quite the challenge to help run a city’s power company. That includes keeping up with aging infrastructure, regular BPA rate increases, and a changing regulatory environment. There are just a handful of relatively smaller cities in the entire state that have their own power utility. The city is currently interviewing applicants for the soon to be vacant post.
