Rising Public Power Star - Stacey Azure Promoted to Communications Specialist (Franklin County PUD)


(Pasco, WA) On January 3, 2013, Stacey Azure was promoted from Administrative Assistant, Public Affairs, to Communications Specialist at Franklin PUD. In her new role, she will be responsible for communicating local and regional issues to our customers, as well as managing the utility website and coordinating community activities.

“It has been amazing to be a part of an organization that has a strong voice in our local, state and national energy issues, but more importantly – in our ability to serve our customers. It is an honor to serve and work with customers – our owners - who are the core of our business”, stated Ms. Azure.

Ms. Azure has an unwavering commitment to Franklin PUD and our community, and is a staunch public power advocate. In 2011, Stacey was awarded the “Rising Star of Public Power” by the American Public Power Association, based in Washington D.C. Ms. Azure has made countless contributions to our community, many of them above and beyond her daily job responsibilities. Her communications, technical, and graphics skills are a true asset to the Public Affairs department and Franklin PUD. Ms. Azure will make a respected leader for our community and public power.
